TEEN ARTS CREATIVE WRITING

ANTHOLOGY GUIDELINES

The Teen Arts Creative Writing Anthology is a prestigious collection of poetry, short stories and essays includes representative literary selections from students in every county along with black-and-white illustrations.

·         Eligible submissions include Poetry, Short Stories and Essays.

·         The length of each submission cannot exceed 2 pages and must be typed on 8 ˝  x 11 inch paper, double-spaced, with at least 1” margins on all sides. No handwritten entries will be accepted.

·         Identify at the top right hand corner of EACH page:

            Line 1:            Student’s Name

            Line 2:            School & County

            Line 3:            Grade, Age

            Line 4:            Page Number (Page 1 of 1; Page 1 of 2; Page 2 of 2)

·         For identification purposes, each submission must include a title. “Untitled” is not acceptable.

·         A signed, student release form must be submitted with each entry.

·         Immediately following its publication, student will receive by mail the Anthology and a congratulatory letter.

·         SCAA reserves the right to copy and use all literary submissions for promotional use.

·         SCAA reserves the right of final approval for all pieces that are submitted for use in publications. Works considered inappropriate may be declined.
