Teen Arts Festival

VISUAL ARTS APPLICATION FORM & GUIDELINES

The county deadline to submit this application form is February 26, 2010:

Our county accepts Visual Arts entries in       [   ] 2-D      [   ] 3-D      [   ] Photography      [   ] Computer

Students who may exhibit include:        [   ] Middle school students in grades 7 & 8    [   ] High School Students

Teachers must complete and submit this application form representing all their student entries. In addition, please attach your Visual Arts Master Sheets.

Labels to attach to your entries are downloadable. Please duplicate as necessary. Each entry must be labeled to show:

Artist’s Name, School, County, Grade, Age, Teacher, Title & Medium.

· Only one entry per student is allowed.

· Mounting Instructions: All 2-D pieces must be equipped for hanging. This may include framing, mounting and matting. Hanging apparatus cannot consist of string or wire affixed to the work with tape, which is not sturdy. Do not use glass on framed pieces, Plexiglas is desirable.

· All work must be suitable for public exhibition representing the school.*

· Only original artwork will be selected for State Teen Arts exhibits and reproduction.

*Several art and photography pieces from the Festival will be selected for the State Teen Arts Touring Exhibit and possibly a county touring exhibit. Consideration will be given to assure that the art represents a mix of schools and a variety of mediums. In addition, the county and state may choose pieces for publication in a calendar, brochure or other promotional materials. Please indicate on the Master Sheet if any entry is not available for such purposes.
